In Bremerhaven's Kapitänsviertel (Captain's Quarter), on Am Geestebogen, two new, high-quality apartment buildings with 14 units each are currently being constructed in one of the city's best locations, directly on the waterfront.
The topping-out ceremony was celebrated in mid-January 2026, with completion of both buildings scheduled for the summer of this year.
The shell construction of the two properties, each comprising 14 residential units, has already been completed, and the clinker brick facade is also largely finished. Upon completion, the buildings will feature neoclassical facade elements.
The 28 apartments are designed to be particularly energy-efficient (EH-40 standard) and low-barrier accessible. They comprise 6 two-room apartments, 18 three-room apartments, and 4 penthouse units. Living spaces range from 58 to 140 square meters. The units feature private balconies and rooftop terraces, while the buildings are equipped with modern heat pump technology and photovoltaic systems.
